Monique and I go to London for the weekend. We go shopping. It’s our ladies weekend, as our man are on a lads weekend in Budapest. Flight and hotel were already booked.
Then Moricz Mate told me that Mike will be playing in London in The Old Queens Head on April 18th. While I was updating my website, I discovered that we would be in London as well. I was very excited, I’m going.
I saw a message on facebook on June 3rd from de Melkweg. Mike is coming to Amsterdam. He will do a DJ set. FINALLY! Last time he was here for a gig was 2008. 5 years ago, with the Streets. Ted will sort us out again. My boyfriend Mark, his friend Eric and the famous master Ozzy will join me.
I am going to the very last gig of The Streets at Big Reunion, the 2nd weekend. It will be my 35th Streets gig, but the last one. I am not to sad, cos I am very excited about whatever Mike is going to do next.
I woke up at about 7am, got the bus to the airport at 7.50. Arrived at the airport at 8.20. Got a Starbucks at the airport and at 8.45 my train left to Rotterdam. Ozzy would pick me up there. We are going to Paris.
It was a last minute add to their tour. They were replacing Q-tip. I found out last week on Sunday that they would be playing there. On Monday Ted arranged it for us. Thanks Ted! Again!
On Saturday, the day before the Streets festival date, we (my mate Ozzy and I) woke up early, left the house quickly after that to go to the airport where we arrived at 10.30.
We got a drink and some food at Starbucks in Lounge 3, but we were so early, as we were checked in online already, we went to do some shopping and got another drink at the Starbucks at the D pier. Then we went back, and then through the luggage check at the H pier. The gate got announced pretty quickly and we waited till the plane arrived. Flight was delayed 20 minutes, but only took like 50 minutes, so that wasn’t too bad.
My friend Ozzy & I Woke up early to go to the airport. Our plane was supposed to leave at 9:05, but it all took the airport crew a bit longer so it was a little later, Thankfully the flight didn’t take too long.
