I saw on Facebook that Mike would DJ on Eristoff Urban Art Forms Festival this year. It is in Graz, in Austria. Is it do-able for us Oz? I think I’m still not sure if it is. It’s an 11 hours drive, it took us 12 hours as we stopped a few times. But I’m sure it’s worth it. Mike said in Amsterdam “Let’s hang out for a bit, it’s going to be a long journey for you.”
Ozzy & I went from Bloemendaal to Dusseldorf early in the morning to go to a camping and set up the tent. We found the Strandbad Nord Unterbach camping, we set up the tent and it started raining a lot. We still had to bring in our sleeping stuff. Oh well after a few minutes it was dry again and the sun was shining. So we could finish it. In the meanwhile, I had contact with Laurence, She let me know that Laurie wouldn’t join us as she didn’t feel too well, Laurence was coming alone. At about 1 pm we arrived at the festival, and I text Laurence to let her know where we were.
Ozzy woke me up by sending me a text a couple weeks ago and asked me if I wanted to go to this festival called Deichbrand, I said No, half asleep in bed. Then Ozzy said, but I would like to give the ticket for your birthday. I started waking up, sort of… and asked: Is Mike playing there? Ozzy said yes, of course, otherwise I wouldn’t ask, duh!, but I thought it was better not to go, as we need to save money for the USA tour. (a couple days ago we decided to go to America for the boys in October).
In the meantime, I’ve moved from Hillegom to Haarlem. The day before the gig I took the train from Haarlem to Rotterdam, Ozzy picked me up there and we drove to Ozzy’s house in Krimpen aan den IJssel. His place is closer to Paris then mine.
My mate Ozzy and I woke up at about 6ish and left Ozzy‘s house at 7.15… on our way to Paris… within 5 hours (with 3 stops) we arrived on the Camping Paris Ouest. I text Stephan that we arrived and on what camping spot we were. We have a bigger tent now, the one we had in Luxembourg, was too small.
After our gig in Amsterdam, we were very excited and wanted more gigs. We checked internet and we found the France gig, that the girls we met in Amsterdam, were going to. We googled more and we found a gig in Luxembourg.
I got a ticket for the Streets in Luxembourg for my b-day from Ozzy, an early present, as my birthday isn’t until July 24th.
