I woke up at 7ish, cos Mark had to go to work, I had some stuff to do at my house, cos I have hardly been in for the last month. When that was done I watched “Step up”. I love that movie. I love Channing Tatum it was finished just before 9:30am, a couple minutes later Ozzy arrived. Just before 10am we left to get the bus to the airport. We checked in online already, we only had hand luggage (That was a tip we got from Mike in Solana Beach), so we got through very quickly.
I had the flight at 9.40 from Amsterdam, well it was 50 minutes delayed, but finally at about 11 I arrived in Birmingham.
The scary thing is, I have thought for months that I would arrive at 11, while on my boarding pass it said 10am. And in the end it was 11 anyway. When I told Burke, he wanted to know the winning numbers for the lottery haha
I woke up at Callum‘s place at 6 am, though my head was going to explode. 2 hours later when Laurence and Ozzy were awake, I finally felt better, probably cos I had a shower and I knew I was going to get some food.
We said goodbye to Callum‘s girlfriend Chelsea, poor girl had to work, and we got dressed and ready to leave to the Haymarket train station, Callum was still asleep. We left him a note. We wanted to take the bus, but it was raining, so we took a cab instead. We arrived pretty early, so we had scrambled eggs on toast first and then we got a train earlier. We arrived in Glasgow at about 12.30. Our room in the Thistle hotel was ready so we could check in. Only Ozzy‘s bed was still missing. Got placed later that day. We went to see what the swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room & sunbed looked like. We spend there a few hours.
On Friday, Laurence came to my work to pick me up, she stayed at mine cos we had to get the plane on Saturday morning. Also Ozzy stayed at mine, he arrived a little bit later.
On Saturday we woke up at about 6.30am, cos we had to get the train to the airport at 7.30am. We checked in online. We arrived very early at the Brittania hotel, but no worries, we still needed breakfast, and the hotel was in the middle of a shopping mall, so we had time to go shopping as well. Ozzy and I couldnt check in before 2.30, but there was a room free for Laurence, so we dumped our stuff in her room. After breakfast and shopping we checked in, and got ready to go to the venue.
Ozzy and I woke up really early, my brother Paul brought us to the airport. He had to work there. We didn’t have the tickets yet, hope it will be OK at the festival with our order confirmation.
We got the flight at about 9. When we arrived in Birmingham, we needed the train to Wolverhampton. When we arrived there we saw around the corner the bus stop we needed later that day for the shuttle bus. And on the other side on the corner our hotel. We stayed in Brittania Hotel… BRILLIANT!!!
