I woke up at 5am at home in Haarlem. I had to go to work (Bloomberg) I took the night bus. I was in a hurry ‘cos I brought something from work with me, so I had to give it back and after that I needed to go to my other place (Nestlé) also by bus and metro, where I also work.
I worked with Edith that morning. Edith is also a friend of mine. At 12.30pm my other colleague was there, so I could get changed and take the train to Tilburg, where Ozzy would pick me up.
We woke up at about 9am at my uncle’s house in Amsterdam. We all took a shower, my uncle gave us some breakfast. Bless him. And at about 10.45am we were in the car on our way to Luxembourg. Laura, Ozzy & I arrived there at the Threeland Hotel within 4 hours. Then we grabbed our stuff, that we needed for the gig and took the car into town.
I had to work till 1ish in the afternoon. 12 more hours to go until the gig. I needed to do some shopping for a new outfit. before I went home in Haarlem. I went to Wonder Woman in Haarlem. Next to V&D (V&D and Wonder Woman no longer exists). I bought a new coat, scarf, jumper & a pair of leggings, then I went home, got changed, grabbed my stuff and left to Amsterdam by train.
Mike and Ted had an idea to borrow items of fans at some gigs. When they picked an item, the winner could take a +1, they would get to party with them that night, they’d get a transfer to the next gig, a place to sleep, access to the next gig, party at the next gig and transport back home. WOW that sounds awesome!
In the meantime, I’ve moved from Hillegom to Haarlem. The day before the gig I took the train from Haarlem to Rotterdam, Ozzy picked me up there and we drove to Ozzy’s house in Krimpen aan den IJssel. His place is closer to Paris then mine.
My mate Ozzy and I woke up at about 6ish and left Ozzy‘s house at 7.15… on our way to Paris… within 5 hours (with 3 stops) we arrived on the Camping Paris Ouest. I text Stephan that we arrived and on what camping spot we were. We have a bigger tent now, the one we had in Luxembourg, was too small.
We (Ozzy, Laura and me) left Hillegom and drove to Liège. We arrived at about 1.15 pm checked in the Ibis hotel, searched for a fridge magnet, for the bar owner Fred of the pub de Tempelier in Haarlem, as we always give him one, he collects them, but couldn’t find one…at about 4ish we met up with Emma Jones. Emma? Who’s Emma?
