Leffinge, Belgium, 18 September 2009

We needed to arrange tickets. The tickets were sold out. I text Ted and asked him. We were dying to go. I let him know I was coming with 2 friends. He got us sorted. It was me +2. Cheers Ted!
I took the train from Bloemendaal at about 3pm towards Ozzy, He picked me up from the train station in Dordrecht after work. We went to his house (I’m staying there tonight), got ready and left again, we went to Maccy D for dinner.
At about 9.30 we arrived at the festival. Well, it was really funny, because it was a festival in the middle of a village. The Streets dressing room was a school classroom (Mike said that on Twitter). Anyway we met up with Laurence and we went to the box office, to collect the tickets. They had to get new wrist bands, so we had to wait a little.
When we got through the gate, I text Ted saying thanks. We got ourselves a drink and we went to the tent where The Streets would play. We listened to Das Pop, very popular in Belgium, but I don’t know them, just the name sounded familiar… when they finished, we went to the front, and Laurence found her place right at the front, I decided to push a little and I got to the front as well. Ozzy pushed as well, and we were all 3 up front. very tight tho, no space to move, but that’s probably cos there was a girl who was sitting on the fence, when she got off the fence, I moved her away so we had more space…. I did not care, if she had enough space, because we had haha. Anything to be comfortable.

The girl next to me sat on the fence, doesn’t look to comfy now. Sorry!

Mike came on…
Through the whole gig. There were a lot of people smoking weed, yes you can still smoke inside in Belgium, not everywhere anymore though, but you could in this tent. Mike had to say that I’m from a country where they do that a lot. LOL! Great gig! I had a really good time, enough space to jump about,
Met a few very nice people. Aww… There was a lovely guy! He said during the gig that he needed Ted. Some people were jealous because I had some conversations with Mike.
He screamed TED!! next to my ear. What for?! Plus loads of little girls screaming in my ear…. oh well, I was like that as well when I was young. (With East 17 and 5ive).

At the end of the gig, we got a few drinks and we went to the side of the stage… there it was more quiet, and we saw Magic. We had a little chat about a lot of things.

I also asked him if I could hire him for my 30th birthday, I would love Magic to DJ for me. Anyways… he said he liked it! (It never happened though. My nan wasn’t doing well. I didn’t feel like celebrating…)
Then after a while he left to get another beer and that he would get the boys to say hello. So after a few minutes he came back with Skinner & Mayhem. I could thank Ted personally for sorting me out for Birmingham & this festival. I said hello to Mike. Mike couldn’t get through the gate because he had a glass in his hand, but it was nice of him to say hello. He gave me a cuddle.

Love you guys!
When the boys left again, I thought we’d better leave as well, because I don’t want to look like a stalker. And it was late already and I had a family day the next day in Reeuwijk.
So we said goodbye to Laurence and we left, we had about 2 hours drive to get back to Ozzy‘s house. We arrived there at 4am in the morning… God how to survive that family day tomorrow? I found out by a message of Cassell on FaceBook that he came out to say hello as well, but I was gone already.
Damn I should have listened to Ted…. “Don’t go to bed too early!” but, I do not look like a stalker 😉
I cant wait to see the boys in Solana Beach (near San Diego, USA) next month.

The next day Ozzy dropped me off in Reeuwijk for the family day. Some family members (who saw him dropping me off) thought he was my partner, they told me to keep him. I will keep him as a (best) friend, it’s hard to keep someone if you don’t have him hahaha
That evening my brother dropped me off in Bloemendaal.
